Students and staff — and a few parents too — had some special visitors at C.C. Loughlin Elementary School Thursday morning.
They weren’t all human either.
The kids went wild when they got a chance to get close to and have their picture taken with the Stanley Cup.
Hockey’s holy grail is in Corner Brook as part of the Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada celebrations happening in the city this week.
The other visitors to the school included National Hockey League alumni Darcy Tucker, Wendel Clarke, Chris Phillips and Corner Brook’s own Doug Grant, along with women’s hockey star Cassie Campbell-Pascall.
Evanka Osmak and Ken Reid, who are sports anchors for Rogers Sportsnet, were also there.
