He said he is quite involved in the community, that he thought he ran a very clean campaign, and that he knocked on as many doors and talked to as many people as he could in the time leading up to Tuesday night’s municipal election.
“I guess it’s a mix of all of those things,” he said.
Randell did say he was incredibly humbled by the support and that he would serve his town to the best of his ability.
“Like many other things I get involved with, I always put my all into it,” he said. “I’m going to continue doing that now.”
The first thing that needs to be done now, he said, is to sit down with the rest of council, discuss the concerns and issues that were raised during their respective campaigns to see what they should do going forward.
Randell said he was not entirely sure, but said according to some preliminary materials emailed to all the candidates, it was expected the new council would gather to meet as early as Sunday, but more likely Monday.
