"I like offering my thoughts, and sometimes songs, when people are going through a difficult time," said Rielly.

Lake, 24, was last seen on June 7. Just before 8 p.m. video footage shows that she was getting into a black GMC pickup truck near her home.

At a news conference on June 30, RNC spokesman Const. Geoff Higdon said that based on new evidence received, Lake's disappearance is now being treated as a homicide.

"Some people might say I have a big heart," said Rielly. "Chances are I may have sang for this young girl once upon a time. So I thought I would sing for her again."

"I can't imagine the incredible pain the family is going through," said Rielly. "Music has always been a comfort for me during hard times of my own. I'm hoping the song will provide some comfort for her family."

Rielly posted his song with the caption 'May God assist you in your search today' in the Facebook group 'Help us find Cortney!'.

"If I can play some small role in bringing her home to her family and friends, it would be amazing."

Lyrics:

Where are you, Cortney? Where are you? We keep searching, what more can we do? A door opens, but we know it won't be you. Where are you Cortney? Where oh where are you?

Still unanswered questions but we'll ask again and again. We'll keep on asking hoping to make some sense of what happened, how did your life end? All your friends and your family want this nightmare to end.

Where are you, Cortney? Where are you? We keep searching, what more can we do? A door opens, but we know it won't be you. Where are you Cortney? Where oh where are you?

We've waited many days, praying you’d return, but you won't, sadly this we have learned. What drove whoever it was to steal your life away, what is left for us but to search and to pray?

Where are you, Cortney? Where are you? We keep searching, what more can we do? A door opens, but we know it won't be you. Where are you Cortney? Where oh where are you?

So many are determined to finally bring you home, this will bring some peace; it's something I suppose. You're still in our conversations and in our hearts; someday you will come home from wherever it is you are.

Where are you, Cortney? Where are you? We keep searching, what more can we do? A door opens, but we know it wont' be you. Where are you Cortney? Where oh where are you?
