The 36-year-old was not present in provincial court in Corner Brook when her matter was brought forward.
Her lawyer, Adam Joyce, said she was not ready to enter pleas on the charges as he was still waiting for some disclosure.
However, that led to some back and forth with Crown attorney Adam Sparkes on the need for the requested information.
Sparkes maintained that it wasn’t actual disclosure but rather forensic analysis of some electronic devices.
He said that analysis takes time and may not turn up anything. He also said the requested information is not critical to the accused in arriving at a decision as to what her plea should be.
Crocker countered that what has been requested is relevant to the luring charge.
But Sparkes maintained his position that it was more evidence than disclosure and that the Crown has witnesses to the offences.
Judge Kymil Howe expressed some concern that with the matter originating in the circuit court, waiting on the forensic analysis could result in not getting a trial date until late in 2017.
She decided to enter not guilty pleas to the charges and set the matter for trial on June 21 to ensure availability of a trial date within a reasonable time.
