New Bay St. George chamber executive to make plans for this year

Now that the Bay St. George Chamber of Commerce has a new executive in place Dave Walsh, the president, is looking forward to working with members.

He said the executive will be meeting new week to start planning its objectives for this year.

Marie Alexander – 2nd vice-president and Stephenville Theatre Festival representative

Mary Lambert – secretary

Clayton Billard – director

Cynthia Downey – director

Delphine Ward – interim administrative assistant

Plans for chamber:

Main priority is advocating for improvements to Route 460 leading into Stephenville from the Trans-Canada Highway.

More engagement with membership.

Put in place mentoring for new businesses.

Working in conjunction with the newly structured Stephenville Economic Development Committee.
