NewsAlert: Shambhala Music Festival attendees ordered to evacuate due to moving wildfire

Published on August 12, 2017

SALMO, B.C. — Attendees at the electronic music festival Shambhala are now being ordered to evacuate due to a wildfire.

The B.C. Wildfire Service says a nearby fire has jumped over the Salmo River toward the Shambhala Music Festival.

The festival previously issued what it called a "pre-evacuation alert" to festival attendees, letting them know that they should plan for an early departure.

More coming.
