WOODSTOCK, N.B. — An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 17-year-old girl in rural New Brunswick.
Police say they responded to a 911 call about "an unresponsive person" at a house in Jacksonville, N.B., at about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday.
They say the young woman was found dead, and the young man was arrested at the scene.
Both are from Jacksonville.
Police say Amon Kelleter was charged in nearby Woodstock provincial court on Wednesday, and will be kept in custody until his next court appearance on Oct. 15.
