Shawn Roche of Pouch Cove had his case called in provincial court in St. John’s today.
The 45-year-old — who heads Roche’s Auctioneering Services Ltd., located on Pippy Place — wasn’t in the courtroom. Instead, he was represented by his lawyer, Bob Simmonds.
Simmonds told Judge Lori Marshall that the case will be settled by way of speedy disposition. He said an agreed statement of facts will be prepared to present in the case.
Simmonds and Crown prosecutor Shawn Patten agreed to schedule the sentencing hearing for June 8.
Roche is charged with three counts of voyeurism — two for observing or making a recording of a person, without their knowledge, in a place where privacy is expected, and one for observing or recording a person, without their knowledge, while they are naked or exposing themselves.
Roche reportedly set up cameras in a house where a couple was staying to watch them.
