Police received a complaint of a robbery at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 28. It is alleged an armed man entered the residence of an 89-year-old man and assaulted him before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of money.
Police said the man was not injured and the suspect, believed to be Delaney, fled the scene in a car.
Delaney is charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, robbery and breach of probation from the incident, which was investigated by the Bay St. George RCMP and the Corner Brook RCMP’s serious crime unit.
Stacey Young, a 27-year-old St. Teresa woman, was also charged with committing robbery and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence in the same incident.
She was released from custody earlier this week on a number of conditions and is expected back in court on Jan. 22.
