Doreen Ruth Rendell

Doreen Ruth Rendell
Corner Brook, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Doreen Ruth Rendell announce the passing of their beloved mother at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, February 19, 2018 in her 81st year. Doreen was born on June 6, 1936 to Clarence and Susanne Parsons of North Sydney, NS, and later moved to Corner Brook, NL, where she married the late Ross Rendell and started a family. She was an active member of the community and truly enjoyed being a member of the Order of the Royal Purple. She also could be found at the local bowling alley, dart league and swimming pool. Doreen is survived by her three sons: Dennis, Darren and David and many of the neighbourhood children who frequented the Rendell house and referred to her as Mom or Mother Rendell. Her unique and wonderfully sarcastic sense of humor kept all laughing and on their toes. Her honesty and generosity was greatly appreciated by many. At Doreen’s request, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date when Doreen’s wish was to take one last ferry trip across the gulf between Newfoundland and Nova Scotia will be fulfilled. She always joked that she was torn between two shores and would someday end up somewhere in the middle. May the gulf wind carry you home mother, you will be deeply missed. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. The family guest book may be signed by visiting www.country-haven.ca. “Forever In Our Hearts”
