It is with great sadness that the families of Maude Dorothy Neil announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care facility in Corner Brook, NL, on Friday, February 23rd, 2018, in her 92nd year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters Frances (Alfred) Evans, St. Anthony, Loretta (Sandy) Parsons, Norris Pt, and son Howard (Nancy), Norris Pt, her grandsons Sheldon (Sandra) Parsons, Corner Brook, Fabian (Kathleen) Parsons, Guelph, ON, Andre’ (Yu) Parsons, Hakodate, Japan, Blair (Jennifer) Neil, Calgary, AB, David (Gillian) Neil, Gander, Jamie Evans, Ottawa, ON, sic great-grandchildren Natalie Parsons, Owen Parsons, Hazel-Lynn Parsons, Alex Parsons and Audrey Joan Neil and Griffen Neil, her sisters Marjorie Reid, Eulah Howell, Gerine Collingwood, sisters-in-law Shirley Hiscock (Major), Jessie Neil, Amanda Tulk and Gwen Dennis brothers-in-law James Reid and David Collingwood. She was predeceased by her husband Hounsell, daughter-in-law Joan Neil, parents Caroline and Soleman, brothers Harold (Miriam) Hiscock, Alex (Phyllis) Hiscock, Clifford Hiscock, sisters Harriett (Victor) Reid and Ellen (Wallace) Maynard, parents-in-law Henry and Margaret Neil, brothers-in-law Clive Tulk, Don Dennis, Chesley Howell, John (Edith) Neil, Newman and Gordon Neil, sisters-in-law Elizabeth (Harry) James, Rita (Harvey) Laing, Dulcie (Roland) Burden, Alma (Garfield) Jenniex and Annie (Charles) Janes. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, extended family and friends. Our family would like to thank the staff of Northern Retirement Home, Port Saunders and the staff of Corner Brook Long Term Care facility for their caring and compassion during Mom’s stay. The family will be receiving family and friends at The Church of The Good Shepherd in Norris Pt, NL, on Sunday, February 24th, 2018, from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Monday, February 25th, 2018, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where also the funeral service will take place from on Tuesday, February 26th, 2018 at 2 pm, with Rev Kay Short officiating with the burial to follow at the church cemetery in Norris Pt, NL.
