Bruce tied for third at Future Links Atlantic Golf Championship

Corner Brook’s Andrew Bruce shot an even-par 71 on Tuesday in round one of the junior boys division of the Future Links Atlantic Golf Championship at Clare Golf and Country Club in Comeauville, N.S.

Calvin Ross of Fredericton leads the pack with an opening round 68, while Aubrey Farrell of Sydney Forks is in second after shooting a 69. Jordan Guenette of Minesing, Ont. and Jack Anderson of Halifax, N.S. are tied with Bruce in third.

Corner Brook’s Matthew Bonnell, meanwhile, is in a three-way tie for 12th overall after firing a round of 75 on Tuesday.

Daniel Bruce of Corner Brook is a little further back, in a tie for 57th with three other golfers, including Stephenville’s Ryan McNeil Lamswood. They both shot an 84.

Joseph Cluney of Corner Brook was in a two-way tie for 68 after carding a 95, and Corner Brook’s Nathan Eveleigh brought up the rear with a 118 on the day.

In junior girls play, Corner Brook’s Taylor Cormier was tied for 15th after opening day with an 88.
