Bruce tops at Stephenville Tely junior golf stop

Ryan MacNeil Lamswood was one of the local golfers taking part in the Tely Junior Golf Tour as it made its way to Harmon Seaside Links in Stephenville on Monday. The tour continues at Blomidon in Corner Brook on Wednesday and in Deer Lake on Thursday.

Corner Brook’s Andrew Bruce was tops in the junior boys division during the Tely Junior Golf Tour stop in Stephenville Monday.

The Humber Valley Resort product finished two-over par with a 74 at the Harmon Seaside Links to beat out a field of four.
Matthew Bonnell shot a 79 to finish in second place behind Bruce. Ryan McNeil-Lamswood (83) and Daniel Bruce (98) rounded out the junior boys division.
Blomidon’s Katie Colbourne was the top female finisher in the junior girls division. Her 63 was enough to beat out Paige Allen, who shot a 64.
Meanwhile, Nathan Eveleigh shot a 108 to take the juvenile boys competition. Elliot Dicks finished behind him with a 118.
In the bantam boys division, Jack Pelley-MacHardy finished on top with a 45 in the nine-hole competition. Evan Dicks was second with a 49, narrowly ahead of Gabriel Bugden (50) and Samuel Bugden (67).
The tour is in Corner Brook Wednesday before moving onto Deer Lake the following day.
