Tour guides, physio club play to draw

Nothing was decided Tuesday night in Corner Brook Molson Recreational Hockey League play between Marble Zip Tours and Health and Performance Physio.

The two teams tied 4-4 at the PepsI Centre, with Jamie White standing out offensively with two goals for the physio club.

White’s teammates Mark Lombard and Adam Tilley also scored.

Tim Budgell, Dwayne Evoy, Scott Wayson and Cyril Walsh did the damage for the tour guides.

Craig McCarthy tended goal for the tour guides, with Rob Roberts in net at the other end.

Elsewhere, Rocky Bromley, Paul Bennett, Craig Peddle, Rod Dyke and Brad Lucas all scored as Western Mazda toppled Meineke/NAPA/Merry’s 5-3.

Otto Sparkes, Frank Layden and Brian Clarke responded in the loss.

Chris Grant outdueled Dan Genest in goal.

In other action, West 96 defeated the Mooseracks 4-1 thanks to goals from Mike Simms, Brad Lodge, Sheldon Roberts and Robbie Greene.

Mitch Goodyear provided the lone goal for the Mooseracks.

Mike Bavis got the goaltending win over Jeff Carey.
