Kings sweep Ice Pak

Liam Smith scored twice, while Brayden Ryan and Ryan Roche both had a goal and two assists as the Dennis GM Western Kings doubled up the Central Ice Pak 8-4 in play from the provincial major midget hockey league at the Corner Brook Civic Centre on Sunday.

Drew Cornick, Dawson Drake, Adrian Ward and Noah Legge also found the back of the net for the Kings.

Jake Abbott, Brent Broaders, Alexander Hodder and Devon Quinton replied for the Ice Pak.

Jordon Best was the winning goalie, with Josh Brown suffering the defeat.

On Saturday, George Young produced a pair of goals and Roche picked up four assists as the Kings edged the Ice Pak 6-5 on the strength of an overtime goal from Andrew Antle.

Drake, Legge and Malcolm Genge also scored for the winning side.

Joseph Toope (2), Philip Pardy (2) and Maverik Skeans lit the lamp in the loss.

Bradley Power was victorious in net, while Brown took the loss.
