Bishop snipes three in rec hockey win

Jeremy Bishop lit the lamp three times and Craig McCarthy picked up the shutout as Marble Zip Tours blanked Freestyle Sports 8-0 in Corner Brook Molson Recreational Hockey League round robin playoff action Tuesday night at the Kinsmen Arena II.

Rodney Upshall and Scott Wayson both scored twice in the win, with Gerald Bursey adding a single marker.

Dan Genest suffered the defeat in net for the sports club.

In other action, Health and Performance Physio and Western Mazda battled to a 2-2 draw.

Paul Bennett and Chris Griffin supplied the goals for the car crew, in support of goaltender Craig Hann.

Rob Roberts backstopped the physio club effort, which was powered offensively by Craig Power and Brian Woolfrey.
