The biggest news to come out of the meeting was the decision to remove body checking from all categories below A in the bantam and midget divisions.

Body checking will now only be allowed in minor hockey for bantam and midget teams graded to compete in the A provincial tournament, competing in AA or AAA leagues and in high school hockey.

The association will re-evaluate this rule supplement at the end of the season.
