Stu McNeil struck with mere moments remaining in the second half Thursday night to lift his Molson Luxury Limo Rangers into the final of the Corner Brook Molson Ball Hockey League.

Tim Caines also scored for the Rangers in the 2-1 triumph over the McHugh’s RiverDogz. The victory gave the Rangers the two-game sweep in the best-of-three semifinal.

Gord Scott responded with the lone goal for the losing side.

Adam Hicks picked up the goaltending win over Ricky Lushman.

Caines made it a 1-0 game for the Rangers at 14:33 of the first, a power-play goal. It was assisted by Shawn Neary and Joey Bennett.

Scott’s goal came at the 4:17-mark of the second, from Robbie Greene and Craig McCarthy. The euphoria of the tie was short-lived, however, as McNeil scored 46 seconds later. Kyle Wright and Dwayne Evoy assisted on the winner.

In action from the other semifinal, Josh Skinner scored for Macavery’s with just over a minute remaining as they edged the top-seeded Marble Zip Tours 4-3 to send the series to a third-and-deciding game on Sunday night.

Kristian Kavli, Josh Kavli and Ian Skinner also scored in the victory.

Colton Kennedy, David Smith and Jeremy Schwartz provided the offence for the tour guides.

Matt Hunt was the winning goalie, with Scotty Walsh suffering the loss.

Game 3 of that series goes 8 p.m. Sunday night at the Pepsi Centre.
