While people were seen wearing shorts and shades during a hot summer day in the city, some of the top young hockey players on the west coast were cooling off at the rink.
Dozens of young athletes from across the region, took to the ice this week at the 2018 Juan Strickland Hockey School being held at the Corner Brook Civic Centre in an effort to update their skills and escape the torrential heat.
