The Kings dropped the East Coast Blizzard in both games of a weekend road trip at Goulds Arena in play from the provincial major midget hockey league.
On Sunday, the Kings blasted the Blizzard 7-2, with goals coming from Kyle Robinson, Adrian Ward, Skyler Coates, Brayden Ryan, Drew Cornick, Jonathan Anderson and Liam Smith.
Caleb Roberts and Sean Hickey replied for the losing side.
Kirklin Young earned the win in goal over Jordan Blackwood, who was pulled in favour of Andrew D’Entremont in the second period.
The Kings outshot the Blizzard 57-23, which included a 22-5 advantage in the first period, although they were unable to score until the second.
On Saturday, Malcolm Genge recorded a hat trick as the Kings doubled up the Blizzard 6-3. Drew Langdon added two goals, while Andrew Antle buried one.
Hickey, Nathan Kelly and Noah Rowe did the damage for the Blizzard.
Lucas Park was the winning goalie over D’Entremont, as the Kings outshot the Blizzard 47-26.
The Kings travel to Lewisporte for a game versus the Central IcePak on Friday, before returning home to host them on Saturday night at 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. on Sunday.
