The Western Warriors couldn’t find the back of the net on Sunday in their bronze-medal encounter versus the Mid Isle Wildcats of P.E.I. at the 2018 Midget Female AAA Atlantics in Mount Pearl.

The Wildcats took the game 3-0, with goals coming from Carla Stewart and Kennedy Francis, both on the power play, as well as Kelsey Weeks.

The Warriors finished the tournament at 1-2-1. The Eastern Ice Breakers from St. John’s, the other Newfoundland team in the event, were 0-4.

The Warriors beat the Ice Breakers 2-0 in a best-of-three provincial AAA female midget hockey final last month in Glovertown.

The Northern Subway Selects from Nova Scotia beat New Brunswick’s Northern Lightning 7-1 in the final of the tournament.
