The Rapid Power Sports Bees suffered a pair of mercy-rule five-inning losses to Whelan’s Gate on Tuesday night, but proved turnabout is fair play after doing the same to the West Side Monarchs on Wednesday evening.

Jillian Wells allowed just six hits through five innings, striking out six and walking three in the 14-4 Corner Brook Molson Ladies Fastpitch Softball League win at Ambrose O’Reilly Memorial Field.

Kayla Brake scored three runs and drove in another four in a powerful 4-for-4 performance at the plate. Lorna Lovell was also 4-for-4, scoring four times and driving in a pair. Ashley Penney scored three runs and picked up an RBI in a 3-for-4 outing.

Selma Pike surrendered 18 hits in the losing cause, fanning two batters.

Alyssa Hunter and Ashley Bromley both scored a run and drove in another in the losing effort. Hunter was 1-for-1, while Bromley went 1-for-2. Rose Ryan was 1-for-2 and also drew a walk.
