Collins crosses the line first at Corner Brook Triathlon


Pat Collins of St. John’s took the win at the 2017 Western Group of Companies Corner Brook Triathlon on Sunday, finishing up with a time of 2:08:17.0.

He completed the swim in 17:10.9, the bike in 1:03:56.6, and the run in 43:52.1.

William Duggan of St. John’s was second with a total time of 2:20:01.5 (17:13.5 swim, 1:07:07.5 bike, 51:51.7 run), while Paul White of Aurora was third at 2:20:24.7 (21:25.3 swim, 1:07:39.9 bike, 46:54.7 run).

Two women competed in the field of nine, with Stephanie Nevin of St. John’s tops at 2:32:22.5, which was good enough for fourth overall. She had a 23:44.8 swim, 1:12:32.2 bike, and 51:50.8 run.
