Paige Allen victorious on Tely Tour junior golf stop in Gander

Allen, competing in the Tour’s nine-hole bantam girls division, also won top honours at the Humber River Golf Course Junior Invitational in Deer Lake and Corner Brook Invitational at Blomidon Golf Club last week as the Tour hit the west coast of the province.

Jack Pelley-MacHardy of the Grand Falls-Windsor Golf Club recorded an eagle on the par-4 No. 7 on his way to carding a 35 round for a six-stroke win in the bantam boys division, while Ethan Efford of Bally Haly won the 18-hole juvenile boys event with an 85 round.

Nathan Eveleigh of Blomidon Golf Club managed to nab third spot in the juvenile boys event after carding a 99 round Tuesday at the Gander Golf Club.

The next stop on the Tely Junior Golf Tour is Thursday at Pitcher’s Pond Golf Course in Trinity Bay.
