The Ramblers, led by Corner Brook native Jordan King, trail the Bearcats 2-0 in the Maritime Hockey League’s Eastlink South Division final best-of-seven series.
The Bearcats scored four goals in the first and third period for an 8-0 win in the series opener and posted a 5-1 victory in Game 2 to take a stranglehold on the series.
King, who had five points in Game 7 in the first round to help his team earn a berth with the Bearcats, picked up an assist on Matt Lapointe’s third-period goal.
Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Wednesday night at the Rath Eastlink Community Centre in Truro.
