It wasn’t the final win they were ultimately hoping for a few months back, but Marine Lounge stood as victors on Tuesday night all the same.

Joey Bennett, Mckenzie Roberts and Nathan White all lit the lamp in a 3-0 win over OK Tire to give the Mariners claim to the B Division final of the Corner Brook Molson Ball Hockey League in a three-games-to-nothing sweep at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.

Robert’s opened the scoring at 6:43 of the first period, with Brian Park recording the lone assist.

That song remained the same until 6:57 of the second, with Bennett filling the net, from Park and Roberts.

White sealed the deal with an unassisted empty-netter with six ticks left on the clock.

In the main event of the night, the Luxury Limo Curling Rangers took Game 1 of their best-of-five A Division final with a 5-3 win over the Gros Morne Wildlife Museum Gulls.

A scoring summary from that contest was unavailable at press time.
