The name says it all.
Run for the Hills is a popular running (and walking if you like) event sponsored each fall by the Menihek Nordic Ski Club in Labrador West.
This year the event will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7. That means people can burn off the calories added on during Thanksgiving weekend.
The events get underway at 1 p.m. Registration will be at the website www.zone4.ca.
The races will take place around the lake trail and the birches.
There is a two kilometre race for ages six to 12, a three km race for racers aged 13-18 and a seven km for adults 19 and up.
Following the races there will be presentation of medals, food and prizes. Prizes will be a combination of cash and gift certificates.
