Brad Burton’s two-goal performance proved to be the difference on this night.

Burton scored his first goal eight minutes into the game and added another at 19 minutes to lead the Steers Insurance Curling Rangers to a 4-2 victory over Tactics FC Wednesday night.

Taylor Gallant, with the eventual game-winning tally at 40 minutes, and Quinton Gillingham at 60 minutes, rounded out the scoring parade for the Rangers in the Corner Brook Molson Senior Men’s Soccer League contest.

Jordan Murrin and Lucas McKay supplied the offensive punch for Tactics FC at Wellington Street Sports Complex.

League action resumes Sunday night with the Corner Brook Under-18s battling the West Side Monarchs 7 p.m. at Wellington, while the Rangers will put out the welcome mat for Clancy’s Pub of Stephenville in a game scheduled for 7 p.m. at George (Daddy) Dawe Memorial Pitch in Curling.
