Steers Insurance Corner Brook United FC earned its first point of the 2017 Molson Challenge Cup provincial senior men’s soccer league play over the weekend, as they battled the C.B.S. Strikers 0-0 on Sunday at Wellington Street Sports Complex.

Zack Taylor kept the clean sheet for Corner Brook, while D’Arcy Bennett did the same for C.B.S. On Saturday, the Strikers defeated Corner Brook 3-0, with Bennett again picking up the shutout. Erick Mathiasen (2) and Tyler Antle bulged the mesh in the win.

Corner Brook are now 0-7-1 on the year.
