MOUNT PEARL, NL - Tyler Hedderson of St. Anthony set two provincial records at the Heavyweights Open last month in Mount Pearl.
Hedderson now owns the record for the deadlift of 661 lbs. and the lifting total (1606 lbs. at 120kg body weight) in Newfoundland and Labrador.
He placed first in his weight category, competing against four other men. He also placed first overall in the competition, with the highest overall wilks - a calculation based on weight and lift numbers among all lifters in the competition.
