Miss Consistency.

Alex Kidd’s knack around the net helped the Western Warriors go undefeated in provincial female AAA bantam hockey league play in St. John’s over the weekend.

The Warriors picked up six out of a possible eight points with two wins and two ties to secure first place in the league standings.

Kidd, an Ontario native who moved to Stephenville last year, had a two-goal performance to lead the Warriors to a 4-3 win over the Central IcePak Sunday afternoon to close out the weekend with a 2-0-2 record.

Cathy Morgan and Kaitlyn Gaudon also scored for Western.

Kidd and Morgan scored for Western in a 2-1 win over the Eastern Ice Breakers and Kidd was the lone marksman for the Kings in a 1-1 stalemate in the second game against the Ice Breakers. The Warriors battled the TriPen Ice to a 2-2 tie in their other game.

Kidd and Hailey Gibbons scored for Western against the Ice.

The Warriors will try to pad their lead in the standings when they play host to another weekend of games Dec. 15-17 at the Corner Brook Civic Centre.
