Western Warriors looking for gold in East Hants this weekend

For the third year in a row, the Western Warriors have been the cream of the crop in provincial AAA female midget hockey circles, claiming gold at the provincial showcase of AAA midget players in this province a few weeks ago.

The Warriors, featuring the best players from Port aux Basques to Sandy Cove, won gold at the provincial AAA midget female tournament at the Southern Shore Arena in Mobile by downing Eastern 5-1 in the final.

The girls will represent Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2017 Atlantic AAA Midget Female Hockey Championship in East Hants, N.S. this weekend.
