Sam Antle and Jordan Dicks Park did the damage for the Western Wolves on Sunday in a 2-0 win over Burin Peninsula at the Wellington Street Sports Complex.

The victory capped a weekend where the Wolves earned two wins and suffered one loss in provincial boys under-15 Tier 2 soccer league play.

Antle’s marker came in the 27th minute, while Dicks Park converted a penalty kick in the 62nd.

Saturday told a different story, as Burin recorded a 1-0 victory on the strength of a goal in the 79th minute from Ryley Warren.

Western kicked off the weekend on Friday evening like they ended it — with a 2-0 win.

Carver Titterington and Dicks Park were the goalscorers in that one.

With a 4-1-1 record and 13 points, Western holds a one point lead over Burin (4-2-0) for first place in the four-team setup. St. John’s Academy (1-3-1) and Paradise (0-3-2) round out the standings.
