Noia, the province’s oil and gas industry association, is accepting nominations for its annual industry achievement awards — the outstanding contribution award and the rising star award.

The latter is presented to an industry member age 40 or younger with a minimum of two years of experience who has demonstrated personal and professional achievement while also being an advocate for the industry.

The outstanding contribution honour recognizes exemplary contribution of an individual who, through the course of their work and personal life, has influenced the development of the offshore industry. Nominees must have over 10 years experience, demonstrate leadership, advocate for the industry and have a record of giving back to the community.

Nominations close on Nov. 16 at 5 p.m.. The awards will be presented during Noia’s annual general meeting in February in St. John’s.
