Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE) members at Purity Factories Ltd. In St. John’s have voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement.
NAPE President Jerry Earle says the new agreement includes wage increases along with improvements in contract language and benefits.
NAPE represents more than 40 workers at Purity.
“We are pleased to reach an agreement that is acceptable to our members at Purity,” Earle said. “I would like to thank the negotiating teams on both sides of the table for their effort and energy in finding a deal. Our hard working members at Purity can now focus on creating quality foods, candies, and snacks that are made right here in Newfoundland and Labrador and loved the world over.”
The new agreement is set to expire on June 26, 2020.
