Construction of what will be known as Appalachian Chalets and RV is under way and will include six new chalets in addition to the park upgrades at the site on Lundrigan Drive.

The Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency is providing $365,000 in repayable funding from the federal agency’s Business Development Program, while the provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation is providing $218,476 in repayable funding through its Business Investment Program.

The provincial department is also chipping in a non-repayable contribution of $30,275 through the Business Development Support program for marketing plan development. This funding will assist in the development and implementation of a three-year marketing strategy to reach target markets of out-of-province guests.
