‘Milk: Born into this World’ screening across N.L. for World Breastfeeding Week

Memorial University’s Faculty of Medicine and the Baby-Friendly Council of Newfoundland and Labrador are marking World Breastfeeding Week by hosting free screenings of Milk: Born into this World throughout the province.

Milk: Born into this World is screening for free in several communities across Newfoundland and Labrador for World Breastfeeding Week.

The documentary explores breastfeeding culture around the globe.

A discussion will follow each screening.

The schedule is as follows:

Corner Brook: Monday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Rotary Arts Centre;

Grand Falls-Windsor:  Monday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m. at the Classic Theatre;

St. John’s: Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 7 p.m. at the main auditorium, Health Sciences Centre, Faculty of Medicine;

Burin: Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 12:30 p.m. at the Community Services Building boardroom, Harris Drive, Marystown, and 6:30 p.m. at the Burin Cinema;

Stephenville: Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 7 p.m. at Stephenville High School;

Carbonear: Thursday, Oct. 5, at 9:30 a.m. at the multipurpose room, Long-Term Care building, Carbonear Hospital;

Happy Valley-Goose Bay:  Thursday, Oct. 5, from 6-8 p.m. at the Labrador Friendship Centre board room, 49 Grenfell Ave.
