LABRADOR WEST, N.L.

For many, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the blessings we have. Good friends, plenty of food, family and much more.

But not everybody is so fortunate. With that in mind the officers of the Labrador West detachment of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary decided to make a Thanksgiving gift to the Labrador West Ministerial Association’s food bank.

In July of this year the local RNC detachment hosted the Emergency Responders Charity Golf tournament. As a result, on Oct. 5, members of the detachment presented a donation in the amount of $3,400 to Pastor David Milley and Lt. Norm Porter of the Labrador West Ministerial Association Food Bank.

The donation will be used to assist with the operation of the food bank which helps people in need in the Labrador West area.
