One “Wheel Of Fortune” contestant took a dark turn when introducing himself to the audience during Monday night’s show.
Long-time host Pat Sajak disclosed that Blair Davis owns a small trucking business in San Diego, and then the big bearded man was asked to talk about his family.
His response appeared to go off the rails.
“I’ve been trapped in a loveless marriage for the last 12 years to an old battle-ax named Kim,” a smiling Davis said as Sajak began to chuckle.
“She cursed my life with three stepchildren named Star, R.J. and Ryan, and I have one rotten grandson.”
Sajak laughed and responded with a fist pump and an exuberant “Yay!”
“No wonder you came here,” Sajak deadpanned. “You just wanted to get away from everybody.”
Then Sajak revealed to the audience and everyone watching at home that it was all just a ruse: “I know you’re being facetious.”
“Absolutely,” Davis replied. “I love them like nobody’s business.”
Davis was then asked about his beard and grandson.
“I started growing the beard a couple years back, and every time I threaten to shave it off he gives me a really hard time,” Davis said.
