Summer is usually a time of relaxing, spending time outdoors, and unplugging. But once I reach a level of tan that makes me appear three pounds skinnier, I like to head back inside and catch up on my celebrity gossip.
Here’s what Hollywood has me currently obsessing over.
Lizzo
Lizzo is an American singer who just released her third album, Cuz I Love You, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart.
I dropped it so low dancing to Exactly How I Feel that I pulled a hamstring. Worth it.
Tyler C from The Bachelorette
Tyler is extremely hot – which is not uncommon in Bachelorette contestants. What is uncommon is that he is a smart, progressive thinker, who is vocal in his support of women. And he has harder abs than a Ken doll.
He reminds me of Tim Riggins as he is a former football player with a surprising moral compass. When Tyler C smiles, suddenly my hair is shining, my skin is glowing, my bank account is multiplying and my crops are thriving.
He’s just good for the soul.

Have you ever been watching TV and thought, “How are these people so good looking?”
Money.
Nose jobs and lip filler (allegedly) run rampant in reality TV stars – especially The Bachelor and Love Island. No judgment here! I’d take a chin implant, a la Stassi Shroeder from Vanderpump Rules fame.
True crime podcasts
A few years ago, I fell into a rabbit hole of true crime podcasts with Serial, Up and Vanished, My Favourite Murder, Dirty John, Someone Knows Something and S-Town.
My dreams got REAL weird and I had to listen to a lot of Super Soul Conversations, Armchair Expert, and Off the Vine to stop myself from peeking behind my shower curtain 14 times a day.
Enough time has passed (and I had a 16-hour drive from P.E.I. to Toronto) so I downloaded some more. I listened to The Accused and Uncover and now I’m maxing out my iPhone storage with more true crime. Still on my list are Bear Brook, The Perfect Scam, In the Dark, and Finding Cleo.
Did I mention I’m someone who has to leave a light on if my husband isn’t home?
Whenever I’m trying to decide what to write, I go to four places for inspiration – BuzzFeed Celebrity, TMZ, Betches, and Reddit.
Reddit calls itself “The front page of the Internet…” Reddit is one of the most popular websites in the world. It is basically a huge collection of forums or communities called “subreddits” where people share news and content and interact with one another.
Obsessed with board games? Tennis? Big Brother? There’s a subreddit for that! You can also see what’s trending, what’s controversial, etc. If it weren’t for Reddit.com/r/thebachelor I would not know what Bachelorette Hannah Brown’s mom is liking on Instagram!
The FBI works hard, but subreddits work harder.
