LOUISBOURG, N.S. — It’s a scenario repeated in many homes over the holidays and the Foggy View Players will stage their take on it when “In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People (That Should Be Shot)” hits the Louisbourg Playhouse today until Monday.

“In-Laws, Outlaws, and Other People (That Should Be Shot)” is a comedic tale of a family sitting down for Christmas Eve dinner when they are interrupted by two unwanted and unwelcome guests. The rest of the evening is spent dealing with those guests while also dealing with each other, a scenario that may be repeated in homes everywhere anytime over the holiday season. It was written by Steve Franco.

“This show is one of the funniest shows that the Foggy View Players has done,” says Foggy View Player actor Charlotte Forgeron who plays the next-door neighbour Mrs. Draper. “Everyone who sees this show will have a great time.”

Judy Billard who plays Aunt Bunny in her second show with the acting group says “being part of these shows is great. It has been a wonderful experience and seeing the smiles of everyone at the end of the show makes it worth all the work.”

Foggy View Players Director Natasha Morash says it’s enjoyable working with this group, especially at this time of the year.

“Putting on a show this time of year is tough, but we have a great group of actors and backstage crew that make rehearsing fun,” says Morash. “Over our five productions, our group continues to grow and get closer, and we are always looking forward to welcoming new members.”

The Foggy View Players tries to inspire a renewed passion for the theatre in Louisbourg with a focus on community collaboration and economic development through the creative arts.
