Annual All Newfoundland and Labrador Big Game trophy competition held

The Upper Humber Rod and Gun Association in Deer Lake held the 31st annual All Newfoundland and Labrador Big Game trophy competition for the 2018 hunting season on Saturday at the Rod and Gun Club on Goose Arm Road.

The competition was open to all holders of a valid 2018 hunting license for moose, caribou, and bear, with moose and caribou antlers and bear skulls being entered for scoring.

Once again this year there were numbers of entries in each category and after all entries were validated and scored, prizes were given out for the best scores in each division, as well as prize draws from all registered entrants.
