FORTUNE, N.L. – The RCMP is investigating the theft of a bicycle from a locked roof rank on a vehicle in Fortune.

Police received the report on Thursday, June 22, according to a release.

An attempt to steal a second bicycle on the roof rack was unsuccessful.

The stolen bicycle is described as a 2016 Giant adult mountain bike, white in colour with blue trim and black seat.

There were also a number of accessories on the bicycle including a black under seat pouch, crossbar bag, rear fender, and small pedals for clip-in shoes.

The investigation is still ongoing.
