GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L.
On Jan. 4 Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP issued a media release pertaining to an incident from Christmas Eve, when police received a complaint of a suspected impaired driver on the Trans-Canada Highway near Grand Falls-Windsor.
Police conducted an immediate patrol, located the described vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
Three people were in the vehicle. Both passengers informed the officer that the driver was their designated driver. The 51-year-old driver from Grand Bank was arrested for impaired driving and provided breath samples that were above the legal limit.
The vehicle was towed and impounded and the driver received a driver’s licence suspension. He now faces charges of impaired driving and is due to attend court in March.
