GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR, N.L. — On Tuesday, Feb. 19, Grand Falls-Windsor RCMP attended a residence on Keats Avenue to effect an arrest on a 21-year-old man for an incident that was reported earlier that day.
The man refused to come out of his residence, resulting in a large police presence while negotiations took place.
After approximately three and a half hours, an arrest warrant was obtained and the man surrendered to police without incident. He was taken to court Wednesday, Feb. 20 and was remanded into custody. He will appear in provincial court Thursday, Feb. 21 to answer to charges of assault, assault with a weapon and breaching a condition of an undertaking.
