Lewisporte man ticketed for excessive speeding

A Lewisporte man was ticketed recently for excessive speeding in the community.

The 20-year-old was observed by members of the Lewisporte RCMP travelling in his truck at speeds higher than the 50km/h zone on Premier Drive. The man was clocked at 125km/h.

He was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding, as well he had his licence suspended for seven days and his vehilce impounded for three days.
