The City of Corner Brook is reporting that everyone is safe after an early morning fire at an apartment building on Corner Brook’s west side.
The fire at the apartment complex on Beothuck Crescent has shut down adjacent Elizabeth Street to vehicular traffic and the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has asked the public to stay away from the area as the investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
In a statement posted on social media, the City of Corner Brook said all residents are safe and the city, emergency staff and the Canadian Red Cross are onsite assisting those affected by the evacuation of the building.
