STEPHENVILLE, N.L. — A 55-year-old man died on Sept. 1 as a result of injuries he sustained in a workplace accident at the College of the North Atlantic. The incident occurred at the heavy equipment campus in Stephenville four days earlier.
The Bay St. George Royal Canadian Mounted Police were engaged by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to investigate the death on Sept. 3.
A press release issued by the RCMP said the man was employed with a commercial painting company doing work at the campus.
Occupational Health and Safety and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are also involved in the investigation.
