Members of the Bay St. George RCMP are investigating a report of a break and enter into a residence in Port au Port West where a number of valuables were stolen.
Police received the complaint at noon hour on Sunday and were told the incident occurred sometime between Thursday and when the call was make.
The person or persons responsible gained entry by breaking a window. Stolen from the residence was jewelry (some pieces worth more than $1,000), a laptop and a number of food items.
