Deborah Coughlin of Stephenville, who is currently visiting Paris, France with her son and grandson, said Tuesday it was bizarre getting around the city since the Notre-Dame Cathedral fire.
She said they weren't near the cathedral on Monday when the fire broke out but went close to there on Tuesday as they were trying to get to Île Saint-Louis.
“It’s a media circus from around the world,” Coughlin said.
She said people are so tight together on the sidewalks that you could hardly get through as roads are closed, metro stations are closed and some Hop On-Hop Off stops are closed, which is causing chaos within a six to eight block radius of the Cathedral.
